How about a weekend in the future? Futuroscope, located in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou near Poitiers, is a theme park focused on science and technology! And if you’ve never been, you absolutely must visit! Opened in 1987, it offers 40 immersive and sensory attractions combining projections and futuristic experiences. Among the must-sees are Objectif Mars, a 55 km/h space challenge, Danse avec les Robots, where you’ll be shaken by dancing robots, and Chasseurs de Tornades, the latest attraction featuring special effects on a giant screen. The park is also known for its innovative shows. It’s expanding to include a water park, themed hotels and unique activities like wind tunnel flying (yes, you can fly)! Accessible by A10, TGV or bus from Poitiers, it attracts millions of visitors every year. Aqualand Bassin d’Arcachon
If you like big slides and water jets, you’ll love Aqualand! Located less than 40 km from Bordeaux, Aqualand Bassin d’Arcachon is the largest water park on the Atlantic coast, offering 14 attractions over 6 hectares for the whole family! During your visit, you’ll plunge into a world of fun and cool, with thrills, spectacular slides, wave pools and a relaxation area under the palm trees! Walygator Sud-Ouest
If you knew it as Walibi Aquitaine, it’s now Walygator Sud-Ouest! Located in Roquefort near Agen, this theme park opened its doors in 1992 and is still welcoming adventure enthusiasts! Spanning 30 hectares, the park offers a variety of attractions, including the famous Boomerang, a roller coaster ride, as well as a water park, Aqualand Agen, added in 2017. The site also includes the 18th-century Château de Caudouin! This unique park has quickly become a success because, in addition to its attractions, Walygator Sud-Ouest stands out for its natural setting and immersive atmosphere. Accessible between Bordeaux and Toulouse, it remains one of the most popular amusement parks in south-west France, offering a mix of adventure and relaxation with attractions suitable for the whole family!

La Coccinelle
What if we told you it was possible to combine attraction and farm experience? With offers for groups and activities for everyone, Parc de la Coccinelle is a must-see for families, where fun and smiles are guaranteed! Founded in 1985, the park has diversified with fun attractions and a green setting (ideal for a picnic). On the attractions side, the park offers classics like Splash River, Mine Train and Galloping Horses, suitable (and loved) for all ages. If your children are curious about animals, you can pet the animals in the Mini-Farm and bottle-feed baby goats, lambs and calves. A little further afield… Le Parc de la Préhistoire
If Futuroscope invites you to visit the future, this park invites you to go back in time! The Parc de la Préhistoire is a fascinating journey into the past, allowing you to discover the daily life of the Cro-Magnons! During your visit, you can take part in interactiveworkshops to learn how to hunt, carve flint, light a fire and even paint on the walls of a cave (that can always come in handy). Le Grand Atelier, a 2,500 m² museum space, plunges you into prehistoric art through films, objects and life-size replicas, such as the reproduction of the Salon Noir in the Niaux and Marsoulas caves. Open from April 6, this park offers an immersive experience ideal for the whole family. Allow 3-4 hours for this unique adventure into the past!
