In the heart of Hangar 20, you’ll find a true science center offering a multitude of exhibits, activities, events, lectures, and tours. Stroll through the Parc Bordelais
Spanning 28 hectares, Bordeaux’s largest green space welcomes you for a breath of fresh air. This little slice of the countryside right in the city center is brimming with activities—simply put, you’ll never get bored here! Kids will have a blast exploring the various play areas, riding the carousel, or simply running through the grass. And after working up an appetite and enjoying a nice picnic, all that’s left to do is settle in front of France’s oldest small theater and let Guignol make us laugh. And if you have some time and energy left, go say hello to the animals. The park’s lake is home to many swans and ducks, and if you look around a bit, you might even come across goats, donkeys, or even pigs.
Located just outside Bordeaux on the way to the Arcachon Basin, this amusement park is designed for children of all ages. As you enter the park, you’ll come across rides, water attractions, and inflatable play areas. But the further you go, the more you’ll realize that’s not all this park has to offer. There’s also a mini farm where your children can bottle-feed the goats and hold baby chicks in their hands.

For an outing that’s a change from theme parks and appeals to curious little ones, immerse yourself in the prehistoric coolness of the Rouffignac Cave, the “cave of a hundred mammoths.” The Rouffignac Cave, in the heart of the Périgord (Dordogne), is a vast underground network adorned with approximately 240 depictions of animals, including more than 160 mammoths. The guided tour, which lasts about an hour, takes place aboarda small electric train and offers a constant temperature (~13 °C), ideal for cooling off during hot weather!
