The best crêperies in Bordeaux
1. Breizh Café
It’s one of our favorite addresses! Bertrand Larcher and his team moved into the Chartrons district a few months ago. What’s on the menu? Innovative, gourmet crepes. At Breizh Café sarrazin can be used in a variety of ways, from starters to desserts. Rich in discoveries, the menu is a skilful blend of Breton, Japanese and Southwestern specialties. Smoked duck breast galette, pan-fried mushrooms, scrambled egg, comté cheese and crème fraiche, Breizh Roll with blue lobster, avocado, celery, granny smith apple, miso and yuzu mayonnaise or yuzu suzette crepe flambéed with Grand Marnier… It’s a guaranteed treat! All accompanied by a delicious Poiré cider!

Newly opened on rue Louis Combes, this crêperie focuses on traditional recipes, working exclusively with organic buckwheat flour (100% buckwheat) from a mill in Brittany, and fresh, seasonal produce. Nordic with salmon, goat’s cheese and honey, forest, pesto, vegetables, poached pear, salted butter caramel… A wide variety of recipes!

3. Billig & Carabin
“ Billig” is the Breton word for the cast-iron griddle used to heat the crêpe, and ” Carabin” is the buckwheat used in the Breton galette. A true crepe institution, La Crêpe d’Angèle, strategically located in Gambetta right next to the UGC Ciné Cité cinema, is the HQ for recovering from your emotions over a good buckwheat galette and a bowl of organic cider.
