4. Maison Larnicol: gourmet excellence
While he puts the spotlight on Breton confectionery “#toutestmeilleuravecdubeurre” (kouignettes, kouign amann, cocouettes and palets bretons), the artisan chocolatier also excels when it comes to paying homage to this little round almond pastry. 5. David Capy: macaroons we don’t share
Confectioner David Capy, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, offers an ultra-indulgent version of the macaroon, in an XXL version for those with a sweet tooth. The object of all our envy, here it is: the Macaron framboise litchi. Creamy rose cream, fresh raspberries, raspberry-rose compote and lychee heart… Serves 4, 6, 8 or 10 people.

6. Maison Bécam: generosity in a mouthful
Founded in 2005 by Cécile and Nicolas Bécam, Maison Bécam now has over ten bakeries in France. Established in Bordeaux at the beginning of the year, the couple offer their customers a journey through a collection of generous macaroons. Flavors include caramel fleur de sel, yuzu, chocolate, coconut, morello cherry, pistachio and vanilla. But the star of the house remains the raspberry macaroon! A signature product for the past 15 years, it’s an almond macaronade carefully dressed in a pocket and topped with a light vanilla cream, all surrounded by fresh raspberries.
