Among the new additions this fall: a quirky bus has just made its debut on the food scene. Located in the heart of the Cité Numérique, Mauvaise Graine is opening its doors with a truly original concept: a friendly, socially conscious urban restaurant housed in a vintage English double-decker bus. Behind this new spot is RestÔ & Cie, which is opening its third location here. Breakfast, street food, and homemade breads and cookies: just what you need to shake up your lunch routine a bit!
Will you enjoy lunch on the bus?

Following La ManuCo in Bordeaux and Le Lôcal in Bègles, RestÔ & Cie is launching a new concept. This time, the organization is moving away from the weight-based buffet to explore the world of street food and baked goods.
The most surprising thing, however, is the venue itself: a remarkable English double-decker bus parked at the Cité Numérique. But don’t let preconceived notions fool you. Upstairs, bench seating and small sofas create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Downstairs, the staff are hard at work in the kitchen preparing a variety of dishes.
What’s the idea behind this unusual concept? To offer a neighborhood alternative for local residents and nearby workers. The spot welcomes both gourmet breaks and quick lunches on the go—all in a laid-back atmosphere with that little underground touch that gives the project its charm.
Two menus to mix things up
Starting first thing in the morning, Mauvaise Graine offers a menu of sweet and savory breakfast options. Granola bowls, pancakes, fluffy vegan pancakes, or scrambled eggs with bacon or seitan await early risers.
Starting at noon, the menu gives way to hearty and balanced street food. Deliberately streamlined, it focuses above all on the quality of the ingredients. Among the offerings: toasted bread with chicken, curry, and cheese; oyster mushroom kebabs with raw vegetables; or a truffle croque.
A menu regularly supplemented by a pop-up featuring flavors from around the world. For its launch, the restaurant is hosting Syrian chef Rabee Alsharity. His offerings include a labneh sandwich, a soukri cheese salad, and a madlouqa with Aleppo pistachios.
At any time of day, food lovers can also enjoy the homemade breads and cookies, prepared on-site.
RestÔ & Cie, the organization behind the restaurant
Founded in 2020 by Magali Baillet and chef Nicolas Cajal, RestÔ & Cie champions local, fresh, and seasonal cuisine. The company prioritizes short supply chains and works primarily with producers from Nouvelle-Aquitaine. This ambition is fueled by a desire to foster connections through food, as well as to raise awareness about more responsible consumption.
Cooking workshops, tastings, meals, and events are a regular part of the lineup at its various locations. With Mauvaise Graine, this philosophy continues in a unique setting.
