After ten months of closure, a true Bordeaux institution is finally welcoming back its regulars. Le Noailles, the iconic brasserie on the Allées de Tourny, reopened on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. This highly anticipated reopening comes after the fire that forced the establishment to close its doors in late December 2025.
Le Noailles, a Bordeaux institution makes its return
Regulars can once again walk through the doors of Le Noailles! Founded in 1932, this historic brasserie has been part of Bordeaux’s culinary scene for nearly a century. Its traditional decor and menu, inspired by the great Parisian brasseries, have helped it build a loyal following among several generations of customers. The establishment also attracted many tourists in search of fine dining and authenticity.
On December 29, 2025, an accidental fire that started in the kitchen turned the establishment’s daily routine upside down. The flames spread to the rest of the building, leading to its closure and a safety hazard order. It took ten months of construction work and administrative procedures for the brasserie to resume operations.
So the news was eagerly anticipated… And the customers were eager to return!
The timeless classics are still on the menu

Good news for regulars: the reopening doesn’t mean a change in culinary direction. The restaurant’s signature dishes are still on the menu, including deviled eggs, herring with potatoes in oil, calf’s head, and Madame Homar’s sauerkraut. The latter, in fact, holds a special place in the restaurant’s history. It was already on the menu when Le Noailles first opened in 1932—a nod to nearly a century of culinary tradition!
After this long hiatus, Le Noailles is thus reclaiming its place in Bordeaux life. This reopening is sure to delight those who appreciate institutions where recipes are passed down through generations.
