Bordeaux means wine lovers. But at Bordeaux Secret, we wanted to go one step further. In keeping with our city’s commitment to the environment, we scoured the city for bars and wine cellars where you could find organic or natural wine! And, not surprisingly, we found some nuggets! We’ll let you discover our list!
1. Buvette
Buvette (we love the name) is a neighborhood winery with a refined style, but without the pomp and circumstance of some wine bars. With its large bay windows and impressive 4-meter-high wall of wine bottles, you can’t help but stop when you pass by! Located on the corner of Cours Alsace-Lorraine and Rue des Bahutiers, opposite the Les Berthom bar (for beer lovers), this cellar can accommodate 35 people inside and 15 outside – that’s a lot of friends. Here, we offer a selection of natural and biodynamic red, white, rosé, orange and sparkling wines. The idea is to trust manager Marianne Lay and her team to guide you through 70 references!

2. Wine colors
Located in the heart of Bordeaux, Couleurs Du Vin is committed to transforming the restaurant industry into an ecological and socially responsible model. The wine bar supports the cultivation of organic wines and has become a benchmark for natural wine lovers! Ourgoal? To promote Bordeaux winemakers, encourage local and organic food , and make organic wine culture accessible through unique experiences! Above all, it’s a warm and friendly place, ideal for discovering sustainable wines and supporting environmentally-friendly viticulture. We’d like to point out that they also offer blind tastings!

3. ComplanTerra
ComplanTerra is a wine cellar and bar specializing in biodynamic, organic and natural wines. The name ComplanTerra evokes “complantation”, a biodynamic principle favoring biodiversity, and “Terra”, the symbol of the Earth to be preserved. Located in Bordeaux’s Saint Paul district, the restaurant offers a fine selection of wines accompanied by spreads, charcuterie and cheeses. The partners work directly with French organic producers and regularly organize tasting classes to enrich the experience! So, would you like to give it a try?

4. Levain le Vin
The place where passion for bread and wine meet. Even before we were charmed by their products, it was the exceptional play on words that caught our eye! Levain Le Vin is a local shop that celebrates products made by natural fermentation, known as “living” products. Here, you’ll find organic, biodynamic and natural wines, which go very well with their 100% natural sourdough bread. You can also enjoy charcuterie (beef, Iberian Bellota), local cheeses, tapas and homemade spreads! With its relaxed atmosphere, it’s the ideal place for lunch, a private event or an evening out with friends!

5. Wine moment
How about a wine moment? Wine Moment invites you to explore wine in a different way, through sensory, intuitive and inclusive tastings! This wine bar features local wines from committed winemakers, to help you refine your own tastes. Let’s face it, sometimes it’s hard to choose! In a responsible spirit, Wine moment promotes sustainable practices and supports local producers. The little extra? Wines are chosen blind by customers, creating a unique and collaborative selection. Here you’ll discover a selection of sustainable, organic and biodynamic wines, and maybe you’ll have the chance to choose the wines for the next selection!
