Having already traveled to Scandinavia, Russia, Canada and Spain, Sarlat’s Christmas Market 2025 will this time be taking you to the sunny French overseas territories. From Mayotte to Polynesia, via the West Indies and Tahiti, a truly festive and gourmet world tour awaits you. More than just a market, it’s an event where crafts, gastronomy, entertainment and the magic of Christmas come together to create unforgettable moments!

Chalets as far as the eye can see and entertainment for all tastes

With 70 chalets open every day, the Sarlat Christmas market is a veritable Ali Baba’s cave for lovers of artisanal products, local delicacies and original gift ideas. The Place Gourmande, with its 15 chalets open until 11pm, is the place to go for sweet and savoury specialities straight from the French Overseas Departments and Territories.

But the market is much more than shopping. Between two ice rinks, one especially for children, horse-drawn carriage rides, fairy parades, illuminated stilt-walkers, wandering fairies, magicians and balloon sculptors, it’s impossible to get bored. Children can also enjoy puppet shows, face painting andcreative workshops, while adults can enjoy concerts, karaoke evenings or dancefloors on the ice rink.

A festive and cultural immersion in the colors of Overseas France

This year’s theme offers a real immersion in the culture and traditions of the French overseas territories. On December 27 and 28, get ready for a Reunion parade and typical concerts that will bring the Place Gourmande to life. Throughout the week, Santa’s presence, Christmas tales, blind-tests and jazzy musical entertainment punctuate your visit, plunging you into a whirlwind of emotions and joy.

And for the lucky ones, there’s a competition to win a return trip to Fort-de-France, so you can extend the magic of the festive season beyond Sarlat.
