If you’re passionate about rap, dance and street art in Bordeaux, get ready! The 2025 edition of Hip Hop Talents, the major competition organized by Espaces Culturels E.Leclerc, is back for a third edition full of promise. This competition has become a must for discovering emerging talents in France’s urban cultures. It puts the spotlight on new artists and offers them a unique opportunity to access resources to develop their careers!
A unique opportunity for Bordeaux artists!
Since March 5, Bordeaux artists wishing to take part have been able to send in their applications via the online form on their website. For this year 2025, the event consists of 6 regional selections, including the Bordeaux selection, which will take place on May 17 (make a note of this date)! This will be an opportunity for all local rappers, dancers and street artists to shine and attract the attention of a prestigious jury!
But that’s not all! The winners in each discipline (rap, dance and street-art) will have the chance to win a cheque for 5,000 euros and a personalized coachinggrant worth 10,000 euros! What’s more, the 18 regional finalists (6 rappers, 6 dancers and 6 street artists) will meet in Paris for an explosive final on September 13 (note this date too).

Even for those with enormous talent, it’s never easy to make a name for yourself, or even to take a chance. The aim of this competition is clear: to detect and support artists in their professional endeavours. To achieve this, numerous partners are involved throughout the process, from candidate selection to the final. In Bordeaux, the city works with local urban culture players to provide participants with the best possible setting. These partnerships enable candidates to benefit from expert advice and ideal performance conditions.
Competition stages
To enter the competition, candidates must submit their applications online before the closing date, which for Bordeaux is April 14. Once selected, Bordeaux candidates will have the opportunity to perform alongside the region’s top talents at the selection day on May 17 in Bordeaux.
The winners of the regional selections, from the 6 cities (Le Havre, Bordeaux, Roubaix, Nantes, Lyon, Paris), will meet for a grand final show in Paris, and one thing’s for sure: the 2025 edition promises to be epic, with a top-notch jury!
