Bordeaux is full of pizzerias, but how do you choose? Today, Bordeaux Secret gives you five addresses that are sure to please everyone. Whether you’re a thin crust team or a thick crust team, we’ve got the pizzerias for you. Tasty, savory pizzas, fresh quality products… No need to travel to Italy to find the pizza of your dreams!
Siendas Pizza

At Siendas, we don’t mess around with pizzas, because their tasty pizzas are signed by Roberto Meloni, 2018 World Pizza Champion (yes, some people really did choose their direction in high school)! Their pizzas are as beautiful as they are generous, and as delicious as they are original! Most of the ingredients are imported directly from Sardinia, from partner producers, and it shows! And if you’d like to try your hand at replicating these exceptional pizzas at home, a wide selection of Sardinian products await you in their delicatessen! Not sure? Choose the truffle pizza!
📍89 Boulevard Antoine Gautier, 33000 Bordeaux
Capperi

As in Italy, in this restaurant the pizza is created, not cooked. Capperi combines Italian know-how with quality products to offer you elaborate, tasty pizzas. Here, pizzas are made with ORGANIC flour, extra-virgin olive oil produced by the manager directly in Sicily, and fresh seasonal vegetables. Created before your very eyes with fresh produce and simple ingredients, the pizzas are cooked over a wood-fired oven. At Capperi, the menu changes with the seasons! Which we love, because there’s always something new to discover. Located not far from St. Peter’s Square, the restaurant is often a victim of its own success. Don’t forget to book!
📍 3 rue de la Cour des Aides
Papa Lello

Without the slightest hesitation, this is one of our favorite addresses! Papa Lello offers a magnificent selection of traditional and contemporary pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven at a traditional 500° . The manager’s expertise comes directly from Naples, from the city’s best “pizzaioli”. Papa Lello‘s pizzas are served in an atmosphere reminiscent of 70s Naples. We recommend you try the Truffe de Ouf: black truffle cream, fiordilatte mozza, bresaola, arugula, smoked stracciata, roasted hazelnuts, pepper, truffle-infused olive oil.
📍 35 quai des Chartrons
Da Bartolo

Make yourself comfortable at the table, close your eyes… You’ll feel like you’re in Naples. From the waiters, to the ingredients, to the pizza recipes… Here, everything is made in Italy! Located in the Saint-Pierre district,Osteria Da Bartolo uses only products sourced from producers in southern Italy , offering pizzas that are as good as they are good. Baked in a wood-fired oven, the pizzas are very tasty. Our favorites? The Mortazza: pistachio pesto, mozzarella fior di latte, mortadella di Bologna PDO and whole burrata. But also the Fumée: San Marzano PDO tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella di bufala from Campania, ricotta di bufala, speck, parmigiano reggiano PDO (aged 24 months), basil, extra virgin olive oil.
📍 14-15-16 rue des Faussets
Monzù

Monzù is another of Bordeaux’s top pizzerias. Get ready to discover a true Neapolitan ristorante! We love Monzù for its open kitchen, retro chic atmosphere, stylish decor and, of course, its pizzas! And pizza is king here. With a dough that’s both meltingly soft and chewy, pizza made in Monzù is generously good. We love the Calzone Bianco, with mozza fior di latte, smoked scamorza, white ham and basil… La Dragqueen, tomato sauce, mozza fior di latte, mushrooms, egg, white ham, parmesan and basil… Or the Mortazza, mozza fior di latte, 100g burrata, mortadella, pistachio cream, pistachio slivers and basil.
