A mischievous otter, a majestic tiger, an elegant seahorse—an entire bestiary comes to life in Bordeaux. From September 11, 2026, to January 3, 2027, the Musée Mer Marine is hosting an exhibition where street art and biodiversity converge. Curated by A-MO, “Bleu Sauvage” unveils some sixty previously unseen works by the Bordeaux-based artist. An exhibition as intriguing as it is moving—one not to be missed.
A-Mo and the Art of Paintag

A-Mo. Behind this name, which is sure to ring a bell, lies a Bordeaux-based artist with a style instantly recognizable. His signature style? “Paintag, ” a technique that involves painting animals by layering hundreds of tags, shapes, and words.
Up close, a multitude of tags created with spray paint or markers intertwine. Then, as you take a few steps back, the image emerges. The tags blend into one another, giving rise to an animal with astonishing precision. Tigers, deer, kingfishers, and even otters thus become the protagonists of his works. You’ve surely come across some of them on various walls throughout the city of Bordeaux.
“Bleu Sauvage,” an ode to life
Starting September 11, A-Mo transports us between heaven and earth for the “Bleu Sauvage” exhibition . He brings his bestiary to life across some sixty original creations, all united by a common thread: the color blue. Evoking the sky and the sea, it’s only natural that the exhibition is held at the Musée Mer Marine. There, visitors can swim in the indigo blue of the water with an otter, gaze at the sky with a feline, or dive into the midnight-blue depths with a whale. With works as sublime as they are striking, the exhibition invites visitors to see this wildlife in a new light, while questioning our relationship with the living world.
It will also feature other Bordeaux street artists, including Selor and his character Mimil, as well as Rouge Hartley and his narrative works.
