A first for Bordeaux: Netflix chooses the Promenade Sainte-Catherine to mark the launch of the latest season of Stranger Things. After more than three years of waiting, fans will be reunited with Eleven, Dustin and Mike on November 27, when the first four episodes are released.
For the occasion, Hawkins comes to life in Bordeaux from November 28 to January 7, transforming the Promenade Sainte-Catherine into a veritable “Stranger Christmas”. A unique, immersive experience where the magic of Christmas meets the supernatural universe of the series.
An immersive visit where Christmas meets the World Upside Down

From the Porte-Dijeaux entrance, visitors are immersed in the retro, mysterious atmosphere of Stranger Things. Red and blue lights, 80s music and an iconic soundtrack punctuate the walk. Discover five monumental arches – each inspired by a season of the series – where each step transports visitors into Hawkins’ fascinating universe.
On the Sainte-Catherine side, references to the first season are numerous. The heroes’ emblematic bicycles welcome visitors under a sky of red garlands, evoking the famous chain lights. An ideal backdrop for photos and stories.
Inside, the promenade remains faithful to the 80s. Multicolored garlands and retro lighting decorate the balconies. In the center of the agora, an 8-meter tall vintage Christmas tree is a real eye-catcher, while the façade of the LEGO Store, adorned with a luminous red bow, nods to the series and to Christmas.
And if you’d rather stay warm and unravel the mysteries of the universe, head to Science Expériences, the immersive Science museum in Bordeaux, to learn all about science while having fun.
The opening evening originally scheduled for November 28 has been cancelled due to the weather forecast.
