See the July 14 fireworks display
Like every year, Bordeaux hosts a host of events for the Fête Nationale. But the star of the show on July 14 is the fireworks display! Launched at 10.30pm from a barge on the Garonne opposite the Miroir d’Eau, this magical spectacle will last some twenty minutes, to the delight of young and old alike. In addition to the fireworks, the capital of Gironde is also preparing a major show! The ceremony and military parade will take place at the Quinconces from 7pm to 8:30pm. At the same time, from 7pm onwards, Bordelais are invited to picnic on both banks of the Garonne, notably at the Prairie des Girondins and the Allées Serr, to share a convivial moment before the festivities!

The Art of the Brick exhibition
Quite simply, this is the best-known LEGO® exhibition in the world. With over 90 structures built entirely from LEGO® bricks, including a 6-meter-long T-Rex, The Art of the Brick has already attracted over 5 million visitors worldwide. Whether you’re passionate about the famous bricks or simply curious, the exhibition is well worth a visit. From Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” to Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” and Michelangelo’s “David”, it’s all here. And spending an afternoon in the cool of the hot July sun is never a bad idea.

The not-to-be-missed Dansons sur les Quais festival returns this summer! From July 10 to 27, the banks of the Garonne transform into a huge open-air dance floor. If you haven’t been there yet, you’re bound to have heard about it! The famous Garorock festival is making a comeback in 2025, much to the delight of music fans. For four days, thousands of festival-goers will gather in Lot-et-Garonne to experience a colorful edition, mixing a wide variety of musical styles. This year, artists such as Biga*Ranx, the Black Eyed Peas and Damso are set to set July alight!
