This year, we’re setting sail to discover the rivers and seas, sources of legendary mysteries, voyages, and precious and fragile treasures. Children’s shows, workshops, and parades await you for a vibrant experience in the heart of Bordeaux!
Water takes center stage at the Bordeaux Carnival

This year, the Carnaval des Deux Rives pays tribute to water with a new theme: Rivers and Seas. A theme that will transport you to a fascinating and mysterious world in tune with the tides. For the occasion, a parade highlighting all the beauty and fragility of water will dazzle the Sleeping Beauty. It’s sure to be a magical daywith familyor friends!
On March 1, 2026, follow the sirens’ song and sail through the heart of Bordeaux. Imagine impressive floats, costumes, and aquatic dances that bring the myths and mysteries of the seabed to life on the Pont de Pierre. Departing from the Maison Écocitoyenne at 2:30 p.m., the party will continue on the Cours Victor Hugo before reaching Place Pey Berland at 4:30 p.m. for a breathtaking finale.
Bordeaux celebrates Carnival in February

Although the parade takes place on March 1, Carnival begins well before that! The festivities kick off on February 10 with workshops and events that will immerse you in the atmosphere:
- Creative workshops: why not create your own costume inspired by the maritime world? Head to the Rock School Barbey on Sunday, February 22, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Children’s show: (Re)discover The Little Mermaid, a work that questions the construction of identity while respecting others and the community.
- Dance classes:learn hip-hop or Afro dancehall during a series of free workshops at the Rocher de Palmer.
