1. Cinéma CGR Le Français
Located in the Gambetta district, the CGR in its former life was a theater built in 1800 by architect Jean-Baptiste Dufart. Listed as a historic monument, this cinema offers a program geared towards mainstream productions, with the blockbusters of the moment on the bill. Equipped with the best possible facilities, you’ll watch your film in ultra-comfortable seats (532 seats for the first theater), on a 20-meter screen and with the help of an unrivalled Dolby Atmos sound system. Visit CGR also boasts a premium ICE room equipped with a 4k projector for a totally immersive experience. And do you know what? Thanks to Fever, you get a €3 discount on the final price of your ticket, i.e. €7.80.

2. Cinéma Utopia
Housed in a church,Utopia is the only art house cinema in downtown Bordeaux. In a sumptuous setting, you’ll be able to discover a cutting-edge Program! You’ll discover films from small independent producers and distributors(always in original version) as well as big-budget films. This cinema is also a meeting place, with debates with directors or experts on various social issues. Their projections often provide food for thought. Their tickets cost 7 euros. They also offer a 50-euro season ticket for 10 seats, non-nominative, with no time limit and valid in all Utopia locations. You can also try a session on a grey background for €4.50 !

3. The Festival
This is the only cinema in Bordeaux where the Program is exclusively devoted to animated films. Located on the Bègles boulevards, this cinema offers themed evenings, dress-up sessions, Happy Ciné and Mario Kart Wii tournaments (no, you’re not dreaming). Tickets are €7.50 full price and €6 for students, under-18s, large families and the unemployed. The Festival also offers a 10-session season ticket at 50 euros for Bègles residents and 55 euros for non-Bègles residents.

4. Megarama
Located in the former Orléans train station in the heart of the La Bastide district, the Mégarama offers 17 comfortable theaters, including two Eclaircolor-equipped theaters, a Horizon theater with laser projector and reclining leather seats, as well as 2D and 3D digital projections. As for prices, if you go to see a session before noon, the ticket is €7.10 ! The Mégarama also offers a subscription card at 66 euros for 10 seats, i.e. 6€60 per seat, valid for 5 months.

5. UGC
UGC now has three large cinemas located throughout Bordeaux: Gambetta, Bassins à flot and Talence. UGC offers French and foreign cinema and opera on the big screen. The Program is fairly balanced, with both genre films and blockbusters. It’s also one of the only downtown cinemas to offer screenings in the original version! UGC offers a range of deals: under-18s can buy tickets for €7.30 , while under-26s can take advantage of a €17.90 monthly pass, valid for all screenings, every day. If you go to see your film before midday, the ticket is €7.30.
