La Tradizione: two pizza chefs crowned French champions of Neapolitan pizza
The Smahrt Toulouse, a must-attend event for the food and hospitality industry in southwestern France , was held from January 25 to 27. On this occasion,the Association des Pizzérias Françaises (French Pizzeria Association) organized the 7th edition of the French Neapolitan Pizza Championship, a prestigious title that rewards technical excellence and authentic taste.
The competition took place under the watchful eye (and palate) of an exceptional jury. Among the experts were Peppe Cutraro, world champion and founder of the Peppe Group, and Mirko d’Agata, chef at Pizzeria N°900, who was crowned world champion in Las Vegas in 2025.
The outcome of the competition was a real triumph for Bordeaux: Vittorio Saviano, chef at La Tradizione pizzeria , took first place. He was closely followed by his colleague Pasquale De Fabbio in second place. A historic double for the Chartrons establishment.
