After several particularly pleasant days spent enjoying the terraces and parks, the weather has taken a drastic turn. And, whether we like it or not, the lull isn’t coming anytime soon. After a cool and rainy start to May, a series of weather disturbances will continue to hit Bordeaux for several days.
Unsettled weather in Bordeaux

April and its pleasant, sunny days already seem like a distant memory. Since this weekend, unstable weather has settled over the Bordeaux region. Clear spells are expected to become rarer, giving way tofrequent showers. This situation is likely to complicate outdoor outings and time spent on terraces, which residents have been enjoying in recent weeks.
This deterioration is linked to the arrival of a cool, humid air mass from the northwest, which is currently moving across much of the country. As it encounters warmer air masses, this phenomenon leads to changeable skies with occasional heavy rain.
Even if there is a temporary improvement midweek, it is not expected to last long. Forecasts are already predicting the return of unsettled weather with cooler temperatures and an almost autumnal feel.
Temperatures set to drop in the coming days

As for temperatures, they are also expected to drop significantly. Forecasted readings remain below seasonal norms, several degrees lower than what is typically observed at this time of year. Wind and humidity will further enhance this feeling of coolness.
Based on current trends, this gloomy spell could last until the Ascension Day long weekend, or even beyond. But spring remains an unpredictable season, and Bordeaux could see some sunny spells return sooner than expected.
