Warning: there’s nothing classical about this classical music concert. In addition to the 20,000 candles illuminating the stage, hundreds of drones in the sky perform a hypnotic dance of figures above a string quartet. Following its international success, DroneArt Show moves to the capital on September 5 and 6, at theHippodrome de Bordeaux Le Bouscat, a venue far from the hustle and bustle of the city, with clear skies and little light pollution for optimum visual effect. Tickets are now available.
DroneArt Show lights up the skies over Bordeaux
After winning over audiences in Los Angeles, Miami, Madrid, Milan and, more recently, Lyon, DroneArt Show is now enchanting Bordeaux. The keystone of the show is the combination of the emotion of classical music and the precision of high technology. The result: a dance of drones creating figures that echo the music of Vivaldi, Debussy and Tchaikovsky. Food trucks and DJ sets complete the experience.
What is the DroneArt Show?
A unique encounter between cultural heritage and cutting-edge technology. The timeless works of the great masters of classical music are brought to life by high-flying technological tools as part of this event. The real added value: duration. In order to provide sufficient flight time for the drones, the show consists of two alternating fleets – while one flies, the other recharges – unlike traditional drone shows (which last an average of 10 minutes).
In this 2.0 concert, a string quartet plays surrounded by 20,000 candles, creating a magical atmosphere. And suddenly, as the piece intensifies, a fleet of drones appears, perfectly synchronized, painting the sky with evocative shapes of light and color. Flowers, stars, swans… anything is possible. The show combines art, technology and music. The repertoire ranges from Vivaldi and Mussorgsky to Tchaikovsky, and is sure to delight music lovers everywhere!
