The Amazon invites itself to Bordeaux
This year, Carnaval des Deux Rives pays tribute to the Amazon! Get ready to be transported into a lush universe , to the rhythm of tropical forests. Artist Duda Moraes has created a dazzling parade that showcases all the beauty and diversity of this region, with colorful costumes, monumental structures and frenzied dancing!
On March 9, 2025, get ready to be dazzled, to dance under the drums, to vibrate to the rhythm of the music and to discover a fantastic and colorful Amazonia right in the heart of Bordeaux. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend a magical day with familyand friends! The grand procession starts at 2pm from Quai des Queyries, and believe us, it’s a parade you won’t see every day! Imagine impressive floats, dancers in flamboyant costumes, and Latin dance rhythms echoing all the way to the Pont de Pierre. The party continues on Cours Victor Hugo before reaching Place Pey Berland for a breathtaking finale at 4.30pm!

Carnival doesn’t start on March 9, oh no! The party starts long before that, with workshops and special events to get you in the mood:
- Creative workshops: Why not create your own Amazon-inspired costume or mask, or the parade banners? At Ateliers 38 in Cenon on March 7 and Darwin on March 8: Let your creativity do the talking! 🎨
- Musical evenings: Let yourself be swept away by the warmth of Brazilian and Latino sounds on March 9 with electrifying after-party concerts featuring Caribombo, a Venezuelan DJ blending tradition and electronic music.
